This fall I decided to can peaches again. I got them from the local farmers market and canned them a few days later. I also decided to male pickles from all the huge cucumbers we had. They grew a bit large since Will was the only one home for a lot of August and he did not go check on them while we were in Vermont and Boston. The pickles had to sit for three weeks but they were worth the wait. I love eating vegetables and fruit that I can myself.
