Mother's Day 2016

It was an amazing day and I am sure to leave something out but it all started with being able to sleep in! Then my beautiful girls and their daddy brought me breakfast in bed with presents and lots of love. They made me a yummy egg bacon and cheese croissant breakfast sandwich. They bought be a wonderful locket shaped as a heart with a picture of them inside and a tinny birthstone gem for each girls birthday month. On the back their names are inscribed it is perfect! Elsie made me several things in school including a Spanish book, a tile she drew on and some cards.

The rest of the day was fun too. We went to church and I got to go to a little treat/luncheon for the ladies in our congregation. Will made me lunch and then a delicious dinner. His mom and siblings came for dinner and he made us yummy sandwiches with beets, caramelized onions, arugula and cream cheese. I know there was other stuff too but I am not sure what...there were kettle cooked chips and tofu ranch dip plus some more stuff. Julia brought a cake she made and that was that!

I love being a mom. It is a dream come true! I love staying home with my girls and teaching them and playing with them. I can't imagine life with out my girls.

May 2016

May was a busy month! Catherine and Adah have been going to a transracial adoption playgroup and they went to some beautiful gardens one day with the group. It is a good group and great to talk to people in your same situation and for Catherine to have some more friends that look like her. We finished up soccer and had a soccer party at our coaches house. We have seen so many ducklings this spring and continue to see them even now! This time we got to feed them with special duck food at a park near our home.

We went to the local minor league baseball game with some friends and Elsie got to go on the field after and run the bases starting at first base! It was fun. Adah found out more about putting beads in Catherine's hair and then did it for the first time and it looked great. She has had beads a few times since and seems to like them. Elsie's school had a school carnival and the girls got their faces painted it was fun. The last picture is of Adah of course. She is working on some paper mache bowels we made for Elsie and her friends to paint at her small birthday party.

All of this plus May had Mother's Day in it and Catherine turned 3! It was a very exciting month!
