Happy Easter 2009

We hope you all had a very happy Easter. Elsie really liked the Easter egg hunt. Her dad got her up from her nap and told her that she was going to find eggs. That is all it took for her to understand what to do next. She just came right over and started picking up the eggs. She did a really great job finding them and only needed a tiny bit of help finding the truly hidden ones.

The Omaha Zoo

Last weekend we took a short trip up to Omaha Nebraska to do two things. First we wanted to go to the Winter Quarters Temple and second the Omaha Zoo. We met our good friend up there and had a great time. Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

Here she is in all her glory. She loves diving her car around the house. If you look closely you can see a new hair bow I made for her...I just used a few precut flowers and a button.

TuTu

Between a friends description and a few google searches I learned how to make a tutu. This is the result. I think it is pretty cute. The only thing is I must have measure the waist wrong because I had to use a few safety pins to hold the thing up.

There one day gone the next

This weekend was a fun one. We got a yucky dose of reality in the form of rain and then snow!! Yes we thought we were past the white stuff phase and onto spring but I guess not. So it looked like this by the afternoon on Saturday.




But what luck we have. The weather immediately improved and the next day the yard looked like this by the afternoon.

Cookies

This was Elsie's first cooking experience so I had to take a bunch of photos. She seemed to like it pretty well. I can't say we are going to let her help all the time as it takes bit more energy and time but it was fun to see her stir and dump ingredients in.
