April 2016

April was a good month too. We started out the month with Elsie's spring break. We got to get together with friends and hang out and have fun. We had some fun dressing up with Elsie's old dress ups we got out of storage for Catherine. As you can see the hats were particularly fun.

Catherine and Adah have been going to a transracial adoption playgroup and one mom shared her hair dressers info with Adah. So they went into have a consolation and then a week later Catherine had her first hair cut! She did great and just sat still and let the hair dresser do her work! And Adah got to ask all her questions and learn new things! Elsie started soccer again and got to have her coach we really liked again so that was great. She also had crazy hair day at school. Over all it was a good month.

Easter 2016

I think the pictures say it all. We had a fun time but were a bit rushed because the wedding for our best friend was the week before so we had house guests until Saturday morning.

We started the day out with the hunt for the hidden Easter baskets. Elsie found them in no time even though we thought hers was in a good spot! We moved on to the Easter egg hunt after that. We got all dressed up and went to church and then headed down to Grandma Flora's house. She made her traditional jello Easter eggs so we had to get a picture of that! Then the girls received a nice surprise from there new uncle Matt's parents all the way from England! Yummy chocolate eggs with more chocolate eggs inside of them! We did not get to dyeing eggs until a day or two later. But we still had fun coloring them and trying new things!

March 2016

Time marches on and I am behind again but I will keep working on it! March was a good month. The most notable thing was one of our best friends from college got married. He is so happy and we are happy for him and his new bride. For his wedding we hosted two of our other best friends so they could be here as well. It was a great time and a happy time. Then there was Easter which I will write a post on soon.

The girls are both doing well. Catherine is perfecting the art of standing on one foot but she still has some work to go. Elsie is doing well in school. At her parent teacher conferences she had already reached the end of year goal for speaking and listening in Spanish and only had a little further to get there for writing and reading Spanish. Her math is on grade level and they decided to have her focused the last few months on spelling patterns in school so she will understand the basic concepts behind the words. Her teacher praised her for being a good friend and a helper in school. It was a good conference, though hers have always been good.
