Boston 2015

After our visit in Vermont was finished we headed south to Boston. Adah's other sister lives outside the city and so we stayed with her for a few weeks. It was great! We reconnected with old friends and played with cousins and family. We had several fun days out in Boston and the surrounding area. We went to Castle Island, a Cape Cod beach, the North End for canolis, and the USS Constitution. We also went to Wollaston beach where we used to walk before we moved out of the Boston area. We love visiting family and seeing old friends. It was a great vacation.

Vermont 2015

We had a great time in Vermont. We rented a cabin in the woods with Adah's sister and got to play with cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents. We had a hammock and roasted marshmallows several times on the camp fire. We met baby Liam for the first time who came out with his mom, cousin Alora. We saw Joe Bears play Fiddler on the Roof and just hung out and had fun! It is always fun to see family.

Our first day in Vermont

On our first (or second day) in Vermont we went to a granite quarry. It was cool to see the factory where they make the granite monuments and go bowling with rubber balls on the granite bowling lane. Grammie got a strike! The quarry it self was pretty cool too.

A visit from family

We were so excited to be able to spend a little time with Will's sister and her family while they visited the area. We all went to the zoo with Grandma Mary and then the aquarium with Grandpa which was really fun. Sadly we had to leave part way through their stay to go on our trip to Vermont and Boston. But we got to see them in NYC for a few days while on the east coast so that was good.

Photo shoot July 2015

One of my friend's good friend is an amateur photographer! But I think she did an amazing job! The girls were really good for her too so it worked out!

Elsie's art lessons

Elsie took art lessons with a family that lives close to our home this July. It was great she went for an hour and 15 minutes or maybe 30 minutes and just created things. The main instructor is a high school art teacher and his wife helped who is a Kindergarten teacher so they were well prepared. Elsie loved it and made some cool stuff. They even had a back yard art show one night when the lessons were finished so the kids could share what they made with their families. Here is most of what she made. She also made a little book with fingerprint designs in it but I guess I did not take a photo of that at the art show!

Quickly the orange mug is Elsie's, the self portrait with story pictures around it is next then the one on the fence is the top right hand corner one where she is picking blueberries in Vermont. She did great!

July 2015

July was another busy month though not quite so crazy as June. Elsie continued her tutoring and we planned several play dates with friends we don't get to see very much any more because they have moved. Catherine really did sit down and read to her baby doll proof that she is imagining things more and more. July 4th was fun we went to Miss Sally's (Elsie's swimming teacher) pool party then watched fireworks on Grandma Flora's roof down town. It was cool because you could see the fireworks pop up all over the valley! Elsie also did some crazy sparklers which was fun.

Elsie lost another tooth, we pet a tortoise and a hare at the library and saw baby penguins at the aquarium. Then there was our anniversary! Thirteen years is quite a long time I would say a good long time. We are happy.

June 2015

June was a good month.  We did a lot in June! We got out of school on June 3rd and started getting ready for Elsie's parties and baptism right away. All our major events went well and we had fun at them too! Grammy came to visit for Elsie's baptism. Elsie started tutoring with her spanish teacher and another friend and improved over the summer. We took Elsie to her first concert outside of kids performers. It was a Willy Nelson concert and it was fun. Catherine has been learning new things and expanding her vocabulary too.  She is doing some imaginary play now with dolls, play food and other thigns which is fun to watch. There was also Father's Day in there someplace.

The crazy thing about this blog is that I sometimes wait a bit between posts! I need to do better and hope to. But for now I am playing catch up! Because of the time that passes between the events and the posts I am sometimes less then accurate with my posts. So I am sorry! But I think what you really want to see are the pictures anyway!
