Raspberries

Will taught or at least encouraged Catherine to blow raspberries! She loves to poke her tongue out and just spray spit while blowing a raspberry. It is very cute. You can even get her to start by starting one yourself. It is again one of those games we can play with her. A back and forth game where we each take a turn to blow a raspberry. I was able to get a good photo of it too! SO CUTE!

A little project

Elsie got a box of wooden thread spools from her Grandma Flora. Grandma had been saving them since she was a little girl which is neat. Elsie wanted to make something out of them! Elsie and I looked up on Pinterest what you can make with wooden thread spools. We found several cute things but Elsie settled on this wreath. She picked out the paint colors, painted everything and designed the whole thing. She did a great job and she loves it.

Catherine is on the move!

So Catherine is scooting!! She started on Jan 23rd the day after grammie left! We were at a visiting teaching appointment and she saw my water bottle and wanted it so she just scooted forward to get it! I was so excited! She lifts up on her arms and pulls forward to scoot. Sometimes she wiggles her legs a little too. Before she started scooting she would raise up in plank potion and just stay there for a few seconds. She is so strong! She is getting really good at it and can move fast now. As of now she still can't crawl but does get into the crawling position sometimes.

Bye Bye...

...to grammie. We had such a fun visit with grammie. Elsie got to read books with her, they played games and just hung out. We saw the lights at Christmas went to church each week and brought grammie to see the temples in the area. Adah and grammie even listened to the first two Harry Potter books when the kids were sleeping. We all had a great time. It was sad to see her go but she needed to go home.

Eating solids...

Of course it is Catherine eating more solids since the rest of us have it mastered. Here she is eating a Baby Mum-Mum. It is basically a rice cracker that melts the minute saliva touches it. She likes them well enough but seems to like baby puffs better. She is getting the hang of bringing food to her mouth and eating it which is good.

January 2014

Here are some fun photos from January. Grammie was here for a good chunk of the month. We had a great time with her here. I was a little worried I would be in trouble with no helper when she left but I adjusted quickly. Elsie and Catherine are both doing great! More posts coming soon.
