Her first masterpiece
Elsie has created her first masterpiece of art work...if you don't count coloring that is. She actually did her first painting about a month ago at the Parents As Teachers play center. I think she did a very nice job don't you?

The aftermath
I am actually pretty happy with the lack of mess we ended up with after Christmas morning. That and the well planed out present buying (lots of books and just a few toys) made for a perfect Chirstmas!! Thanks to all our grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins for all the fun gifts...Elsie loves them all!
Stocking time
So this year we did things a bit backwards and opened our stockings after we did our presents. But it was fun anyway. You might notice below that Elsie was sneaking a bit of butterfingers while we were not looking.

Does anyone remember the sock monster?? Well last Christmas Will used four socks to cover each appendage of our little girl. So he had to have his fun this year too. I wonder how many years Elsie will put up with this nonsense.
As you can see she did not really like the stockings on her legs but she is still small so it is hard for her to fight Will off!! Maybe next year she will have a chance.

Christmas morning
We stayed home for Christmas this year. But is was fun just the same. Here we are Christmas eve after getting back from the Evans family Christmas party. Our tradition is to open one gift on Christmas eve. I was reading up on other peoples traditions and saw one I think I might steal. The family drew names and made a homemade gift for one member of the family and then gave it to them on Christmas eve. I think with a little help Elsie could make Will and incredible magnet next year!!
