Our new hotel/condo

Well we have moved into our new hotel. It is very nice but still a bit unfinished. When Will talked to the person in charge of the rooms he had told him that they were all set to move into. Well that was on Friday. Fast forward three days to our move in day...Will finds out there are no pots and pans, no curtains, no silverware and no seat cushions for the couch. We now have pots and pans and a few other kitchen things. The walls are bare but there are two big mirrors propped up against our walls to be hung at some unknown date (yes that is very dangerous with a two year old running around but what am I going to do...move back out??).

Now don't get me wrong here I am not complaining it is a free place to stay and we do have internet though the cable is not turned on yet (not that I watch TV). I am actually really starting to like it here. And yes it is much nicer then our other place...once it is finished!!!

Metal is yummy

Last week Elsie found out first hand what metal tastes like. I am not sure what type of metal it was but she ate it. It was a small fixture that goes on the end of the shower knob. She discovered it that morning and instead of being smart and moving it then I just put it back in and forgot about it. That night while a was cooking dinner I heard a little cry from the living room. Then Elsie comes into the kitchen crying and opening her mouth. She kept pointing to her mouth and crying and then I asked her if she ate something and she yes. But what??? Well I soon thought about our little adventure in the bathroom that morning and sure enough the metal fixture was missing. I asked her if she ate it and she said yes but she says yes to most anything so I was not positive that she ate it. The mystery was solved the next day at diaper changing time. The small round fixture is about the size of a penny and is as thick as three pennies. But it passed with no known pain or problems.

Fun times

We are so happy that we got to see our good friends from KS here in UT!!! It was a happy reunion for all of us. We met at Liberty Park in Salt Lake and had a blast. There was a splash park, a fire truck spraying kids, and a little wading pool/river thing. We think that the wading pool was the funnest for the girls.

experiments

Elsie has been experimenting with a few new fashions. In the end it is good to let them learn how to dress themselves but it does take a lot longer to get ready in the morning.

Our home for the next few days

Well we got here on the 7th and are leaving on the 22nd but this has been home for the last two weeks. We are actually going to move down into the newly finished hotel where Will is working. This place has been good to us though. We have 2 bedrooms and a living room/kitchen in the center of them. It is a great set up and has been like living in a small apartment. With them added perk of someone else cleaning the bathroom and taking out the garbage!!! Now that we have seen what the competition has to offer we will see how Will's hotel stacks up.

Our first day in Utah

So as soon as Will's mom found out we were here she made a cake and came up to celebrate Elsie's birthday. Her son Tyler said the cake looked like a crazy man doll with blue hair and a beard. Thats ok because it still tasted great and Elsie especially liked the berries.

Last day in paradise

This is from our last day in Kansas which was almost paradise. We were at one of Elsie's best friend's Birthday party. It was supper fun to hang out with our friends one last night!! The boys swam with the kiddos while the girls watched.

Elsie's official birthday cake

Here are a few shots of the cake I made Elsie for her birthday. It was a pineapple upside down cake. I made it because they are yummy and I wanted one. Maybe next year I will take Elsie's likes and dislikes into account.

Two years old!!!

Well I never made an official post about my baby turning 2. I can't believe it. She has grown so fast. She is the center of my life along with her daddy. We are so blessed to have this special little girl to raise and love. She has changed so much since she was born. She was so helpless and now she hardly wants our help at all. She loves to play at the playground and with her little friends who she still asks for even though we have moved. She is able to communicate very well now telling us what she wants and needs and saying 3 and 4 word sentences. She loves purses, baby dolls and trucks. We are so happy to share our time with her. Who would have guessed this little baby would turn into a little girl so fast!!!

The girlfriends together again at last minus one

While I was in Boston I got to see my girlfriends from collage!!! It was so fun to spend time together and to see our kids play. We were very sad though because one of our girlfriends was missing. She could not make it out but she was there in spirit!
It is amazing what can happen in just a few years. We are all mommies now and one of us has 3 and another is pregnant with number 2!!!! Life moves way too fast. We hope to see everyone again soon, thanks for the fun times.

Baby Owen

Well here are some picutes I took of baby Owen. He had a little bit of jaundice so he had to wear a special light around his belly. I think it made him look like a glow worm.

Birthday party in Vermont

So even though Elsie's birthday was not for another week my family wanted to celebrate with a little cake and presents. Elsie did a great job of blowing out all of the candles.

Elsie trying to be Joey

Here is a cute shot of Elsie trying to be like Joey. In case you can't tell that is his baseball hat and a play station controller in her hands.

All the rest of the cousins

Here are a few shots with Teddy's kids and step kids. Elsie loves them all and learned all their names while we were there. I would hate to say she had a favorite cousin but if I did it would be Joseph.

Cousin Raymond and Abby

While we were in Vermont we got to spend a little time with Raymond and Abby. Raymond is 5 months younger then Elsie so they had fun playing together. He was a little reluctant to share his toys though. Elsie also loved playing with her big cousin Abby. She read her a book and they played with the toy computers and lots of other fun stuff.
