Family Pictures

We actually remembered to take some photos this time we where out in Utah! We usually forget or get really lame pictures but I think we did pretty good this time.

Utah city Zoo

While we were in Utah we got to go to the zoo and it was even free!!! This is the first time Elsie really got interested in animals that we saw. She has been to the Kansas city zoo and to a petting zoo several times but has never taken much interest in the animals until now. What she really liked where the porcupines and meerkats which I do not have a picture of because they were behind glass. Shown below is Elsie measuring up to the size of a gorilla. She has a long way to go to catch up which is good by me.

Our Trip to Utah

For Thanksgiving we went to Utah to spend a week with family there. We had a great time and Elsie really warmed up to all her relatives!!

Fall fun in the leaves

Well we have a bunch of huge trees on our land and around it so we had a lot of leaves!!! Here are some of the fun shots of us playing in them, raking them and over all enjoying them.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone!! This year we have had a blast dressing Elsie up. I got her costume at a consignment kids store so it was a great deal too. Last night our Church had a Trunk or Treat activity for the kids so we went to that. I don't think we will be doing any traditional trick or treating since she is really too young to eat candy and we don't need it around the house!!

Fun in the back yard

I decided to rake some leaves while we were playing in the back yard the other day. First my very helpful daughter wanted to sit in the pile and spread it around her. Then she went up on the porch to let me work in peace. It took only a few minutes before I realized that she was way to quiet. And sure enough I looked over and she had started digging in a potted plant and thought it would be good to eat some of the dirt!!





Later we went down to our pathetic garden and did a little harvesting. Elsie bent down on her own and picked a beautifully green tomato!! How cute!

If Elsie could have a best friend this would probably be her. They are so cute together and Elsie especially loves her friend's mommy!!!

Elsie is a book lover. Recently I have been able to read a entire picture book from the library to her with out her walking away!! She also loves to play with her books in her room. One day I came in and found her like this in the chair just reading to herself!!

The Cider Mill

A few weekends ago we went with some friends to the local cider mill. It was a pretty drive out into the sticks and a beautiful day. Will got to eat all you can eat pancakes and I got to buy kettle corn! Yum Yum! Elsie just came along for the ride. But we did manage to get some super cute pictures of her and the pumpkins.

Elsie's cupboard

Since we moved we have had a cupboard we put only a few unbreakable items in. I decided not to put lock on it because I was sick of installing them. So this has become Elsie's cupboard. Until now she has just played there putting her toys in and out of it. She has now found a new use for the cupboard...a climbing toy! Will is encouraging her and wants her to go into her cupboard on demand. We will see about that.

Trying on daddies and mommies shoes has become a favorite past time for Elsie. She has even managed to take a few steps in them.
This is another amazing hair event. The first time we put a bow in and it actually stayed in. Though if she knows there is a bow in her hair it is almost immediately taken out but one can hope for the future.

I am back

Well it has been forever since I last posted. Sorry about that I have been having computer issues but hopefully they are solved now. A lot has happened between Aug and now so get ready for some cute pictures of Elsie!! To begin here she is in all her glory.

NYC our last stop on our trip

It has taken me a while but here is the last installment of our trip to the east coast. Will's sister lives in Brooklyn so we decided to go down and visit her there. A few other members of Will's family came out to see us there for the long weekend! We had a lot of fun. We saw some Broadway shows, walked across the Brooklyn bridge, went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and ate at several burger joints.

There were these 4 waterfalls structures all along the east river. They are an art instillation and look pretty cool if you ask me.
Elsie on the subway for the second time...the first was in Boston last November.
Nathan's hot dog stand on Conny Island is in a Seinfeld episode so Will had to eat there. The food was average.
