Blessing Dress

I have forgotten to show off the beautiful blessing dress that Elsie's Grandma Flora Shumway made for her. The event happened about a month ago on August 5th (see more below). Isn't she so cute in it!

Smiles

Elsie does not like to spend time on her tummy...but when she does she can lift her head up a bit. She likes to make noises now and respond when we talk to her...in noises. She also smiles now but it is really hard to get on film. All of these happy things tend to happen most when she has just woken up and in the morning before she gets crabby or too tired!! She is doing well at night going down around 11 or midnight and then only getting up around 3 or 4 then she gets up at 7 and goes back down again. And as you can see she is sooooo cute!!! We love her to pieces!

5 years

On our 5 year anniversary we took a family photo.

Will has been putting Elsie to the test and training her every night to strengthen her legs so she will walk early! Crazy right?

A special weekend

We are all doing very well here in Kansas. Elsie was blessed this past Sunday and so we have had a lot of visitors from Will's family. Right now Uncle Steven and Grandma Mary are staying with us for a few weeks. We have been relaxing inside to stay cool and swimming at night in the pool in our apartment complex. It is good summer fun!

Here is Elsie meeting 2 of her uncles and 1 aunt...she has a lot more to meet this fall when she travels to Vermont!
