The Baby-
Elsie Mae Shumway joined our family at 8:10 pm on June 5th. She came pretty quick, only 3 1/2 hours of labor for Adah. Elsie was 6 pounds 13 ounces, and 18 3/4 inches tall, or long depends on your view.
Elsie's APGAR scores were quite good, all 8's and 9's. She is scheduled to take the GRE in mid July.
This is Elsie and a thermometer. She got a little cold a few hours after being born, and had to spend a little bit under the warmer until she got her temperature back up.
Here's mom and baby looking oh so cute!
Mom and Baby are both doing fine as witnessed in the above photo.

Life in Overland Park
Will and I are now feeling moved in. Our apartment is mostly all set up...with finding Will's alarm clock and unpacking all our hanging pictures all we have left to do is decorate. Will's job is going well and I am still pregnant. My visits to the midwife are going well each week...every time she says "I am surprised you are still here"!! But it is nice to be more settled before the baby comes.
Our ward is good so far. The people all seem really nice...we have been to one BBQ and I have visited with a few women. No callings yet...we are hoping they might give us a chance to get used to the baby before we get assigned. But we will be happy to serve where ever we are needed.

Will and his little hat
I knit the hat will is wearing as a gift for him on our first Christmas. He told me a while back he would like a matching one for our baby. I did the best I could with out bringing the hat to the yarn store and not having the original when I knit the baby's hat while we where still living in the hotel. But I still think it is so cute...and now they will match once the baby grows into her hat!!
